Google mogul, Doug Edwards, isn’t the only millionaire demanding to pay his fair share of taxes. The 200+ mega-millionaires and billionaires who make up The Patriotic Millionaires for Fiscal Strength also believe they can and should pay more. In a letter to President Obama, the group urged him to let the Bush-era tax cuts expire on everyone raking in more than $1 million per year. In the letter they wrote, “We have done very well over the last several years. Now, during our nation’s moment of need, we are eager to do our fair share. We don’t need more tax cuts.” Now the group of hedge-funders and corporate giants are rolling out a video campaign exposing the politicians in each state who oppose Obama’s proposed Buffet Rule tax. Worth noting: many of those obstructionist politicians are millionaires. “We challenge Senator Hatch and the other millionaire members of the Senate to put their country first and raise taxes on people like them – and us.” Check out one of the videos here.
